Once upon a time, I was a drummer in my early teenage years through young adulthood. But at some point, I discovered the drums weren't for me, and I moved away from music for a while. But one night in 2021, I went to karaoke and decided I would try singing. I sang "Love Hurts" by Incubus... and had the time of my life. Being on a stage in front of people singing my heart out turned out to be just what I needed in my life. I decided this would be THE thing I would dedicate myself to. Fast forward to today. I've been taking lessons with an incredible voice teacher who has been helping me make huge strides and improvements I didn't know I was capable of and gradually singing songs that I once thought were impossible for my voice. Singing has become my outlet for self expression.

Now I'm beginning to take things to a new level by performing with actual bands. I am currently in a band with my best friends, and we play heavy metal covers. And then my good friend, Bernie, introduced me to a little event called Poprockz Jam. I sang at my first ever Poprockz in November, and it was a life changing experience. The feeling of having band members right there with me to go on a musical journey over the course of even just one song in front of an audience was unlike anything else I've experienced. And although I had the jitters and butchered a few lines from the first verse of "Times Like These" by the Foo Fighters, I thought to myself "this is incredible, and I truly feel I'm right where I need to be."

Anyway, I love rock, heavy metal, alternative, pop, and a bit of musical theater (though now that I've been introduced to the world of musical theater by my wife, I'll be adding more to my repertoire). I have a decent range for a guy who has only been singing since 2021, and I'm only getting better.

I'm excited to meet fellow musicians at Poprockz and hope I can create some genuine connections with people. If there's one thing on this earth that can bring people together, it's music (and food, let's be real).
