Before you join your next (or first) POPROCKZ JAM, we want to touch on something important that helps keep our shows running smoothly and enjoyable for everyone.

Sometimes songs can fall apart when cues are missed, progressions go off track, or parts aren’t fully prepared. When that happens, it doesn’t just affect the song – it can also throw off the other musicians on stage, especially the singers, who may end up looking unprepared even when they’re not. We all want to avoid that and make sure everyone shines together.

Please remember:

  • The cues and progressions are the backbone of every song. Everyone needs to listen carefully and follow them.

  • If you sign up for Guitar 1 (G1), you are expected to play the lead parts. If you’d rather play rhythm or acoustic guitar, please sign up for Guitar 2 (G2).

  • If you sign up for Keys, be ready to play the actual parts or coordinate with the other musicians about how to split them.

  • If you’re on Drums, make sure you know the tempo and progression – the drummer drives the song so be confident and steady!

  • And overall, please come prepared. If you’re not confident on a song, let us know or skip that one until you are.

  • One last thing – please make sure you read the full info in the group song emails. We’ve noticed that some details are getting missed, which has led to miscommunication and last-minute issues on show day!

We all understand that some participants are newer to performing with live bands, and that’s totally fine – that’s what JAM nights are for. But being prepared and listening to each other is what makes this experience great for everyone and keeps the energy strong on stage.

Thank you all for putting in the effort and helping us keep POPROCKZ JAM professional, fun, and respectful for every performer. Let’s keep learning, supporting each other, and growing together as a community of musicians.
