Lucky Strike Hollywood — POPROCKZ JAM

– PARKING:

Free parking is available just one block from the venue on Hawthorn Ave (between N. La Brea Ave & Highland Ave), with additional free options nearby.

Lucky Strike is located inside Ovation Hollywood Mall (home to the Dolby Theater, Chinese Theater, etc.), which also has an underground parking structure. Validation is available for the first 3 hours for just $4. You can request validation from the bar or from your server if you’re seated at a table.

– LOAD-IN:

Upon entering the venue, you’ll see a curtain on your left—that’s where the green room is located. Please place ALL your gear and equipment in that area. To ensure the safety of valuable items like pedals, guitars, laptops, and more, please do not bring anyone who is not part of the show into this space

– TIMESLOTS / STAGE CALL:

1. Upon arrival, please CHECK IN with Jamie or Athan.

2. Be in the green room at least 10 minutes before your song. Pay close attention to the songs being performed so you’re aware of your timeslot. We won’t be calling names on the microphone or tracking people down!

3. If someone from your group isn’t in the green room as your timeslot approaches, make sure the rest of the band is informed. You’re all included in group emails—feel free to exchange contact info if needed before the show.

4. As a reminder, if you’re not in the green room and ready to go when it’s your turn, your song will be replaced by the POPROCKZ house band. This is a larger venue, so it’s difficult to locate people last-minute.

5. Finally, if your slot is more than 15 minutes away, please avoid staying in the green room to prevent congestion. It’s not a huge space, but there’s enough room if we keep things moving smoothly.

– EVENT REMINDER

Please arrive early to support your fellow musicians! Don’t forget to share this event with as many people as possible—they don’t have to be musicians. The more, the better! This is a big venue, and since we’ve successfully packed Hotel Ziggy, let’s aim to do the same here!

The venue offers a great selection of drinks and tasty food—definitely worth checking out! And if you’re up for it, there are plenty of bowling lanes available for some extra fun! 🎳

– GEAR

Any piece of gear you want us to add during your set PLEASE LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE. We submit a stage plot before the show and the sound engineer needs to have all this info before hand and not last minute before you go on stage.

🎸 Guitarists:
If you need any extra pedals (like a wah, in-ear monitors, etc.), please let us know in advance. The FX unit (same configuration as Ziggy) also includes a pitch shifter available for both guitars, wah pedal and pitch shifter pedal for G1. A tuner will be in the green room if you need to tune your guitar or bass.
🎤 Vocalists:
A teleprompter with lyrics will be positioned in front of you, controlled by a foot pedal near your mic stand. It has BACK and NEXT buttons, and all song lyrics will be in order.
🥁 Drummers:
The breakables (cymbals, kick pedal, and snare) are provided by us, so please be mindful when using them.

– RECORDING OPTIONS:

If you’re interested in a multi-track recording of your song, please let us know in advance, as we need to prepay for the recording of the entire show. There’s a $10 charge per song for this service. We’ll also have a multi-camera video recording of the show, which will be available for this event. If you’d like us to mix the audio and video, feel free to reach out!
